Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman under the leadership of Christ. Both men and women have separate roles and requirements in their marriage. Men are the providers, protectors, and leaders of the household. A husband is supposed to lead his wife, and guide his family in the right direction. He is to be the head of the household. Women are to maintain the home, and raise the kids under their father's instruction. A wife is also supposed to support, and be the backbone of her husband; following him as he follows Christ. 

Both are to love one another, and live righteously under the law.
